How do I make a reservation?
Please click the Book Direct button on the top right-hand corner here on our website. Alternatively, you can contact our reservations team by emailing reservations@imperialhotelcork.ie or calling 021 4274040.

Can I make a group booking?
If you are looking for multiple rooms for your party please send an email to our reservations team by emailing reservations@imperialhotelcork.ie or calling 021 4274040. The opening hours are Monday - Saturday 8am - 8pm

Is your hotel non-smoking?  
Yes, we are a smoke-free hotel, all of our bedrooms are non-smoking. However, there is a designated smoking area outside of the hotel.

Is your hotel wheelchair-friendly? 
Yes, it is. We have bedrooms in the hotel that are fully accessible.

Is your hotel family-friendly?
Families of more than 2 adults and 1 child can be accommodated in our outterconnecting rooms. Please contact the reservations team to book by emailing reservations@imperialhotelcork.ie or calling 021 4274040. The opening hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm.

How do I cancel or amend a booking?
If you have booked the reservation directly with us you can contact our reservations team directly on 021 4274040, or email reservations@imperialhotelcork.ie.

If you have booked through a third-party website like Booking.com or Expedia you will need to contact them directly to confirm cancellation or amendment.

What is the cancellation policy? 
Cancellation policy for individual bookings; Last cancellation without charges must be 3 pm the day prior to arrival, after that time 100% charge applies. There is a 100% charge for non-arrival. Please note this is for individual cancellations only. Regarding Advance Purchase/Festival and Event/Group bookings, different cancellation policies applies. Please refer to your booking confirmation. 

What time is check-in, and can I get an early check-in? 
Check-in is from 3pm onwards. However, if you arrive at the hotel earlier than 3pm, and the room is ready we will check you in. If it is not, the concierge will be more than happy to store your luggage.We offer early check-in starting at €60.00, depending on the time of arrival from 11am onwards. Availability varies, so please contact our reservations department to check availability and pre-book if needed.

What time is checkout, and can I get a late checkout? 
Check-out is at 11am. If you require a late check-out, prices start at €20.00, depending on the time, with a charge for check-out up to 5 PM. Late check-out is subject to availability, so please inquire at reception upon arrival or during your stay.

Is your hotel pet friendly?
We only allow guide dogs/service dogs in the hotel, and a guide dog license must be shown at reception.

Is there a hairdryer in the room?
Yes, there is a hairdryer in every room of the house. 

Do you have Wi-Fi in the Hotel? 
Yes, we do offer free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

Is there a gym in the hotel? 
Yes, the hotel has a gym that is complimentary for our residents. The gym is open 24/7 for your convenience.

What is the hotel’s credit card policy?
All major Credit Cards are accepted.

Can I arrange for amenities or gifts to be placed in the room? What do you offer?
We can arrange for amenities to be delivered to rooms. The most popular are: Champagne, Prosecco, Flowers or Romantic Turndown. These can be booked by emailing reservations@imperialhotelcork.ie or calling 021 4274040.

Is the hotel air-conditioned?
Yes, the hotel is air-conditioned, including all rooms and public areas.

Is there tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms?
Yes, there is.

Do you provide irons and ironing boards?
Yes, each room is equipped with an iron and ironing board, and additional ones are available upon request.

Local Attractions Ticket Booking
Our Reception team will be happy to assist you in booking local attractions, making dinner reservations and purchasing tickets for any local event.

Do you provide a Laundry Service?
We work with an external company that offers laundry service Monday to Friday. The service can be arranged through reception and is chargeable.

Which plug sockets are used in Ireland?
The electrical supply in Ireland is 230v/50Hz. Plugs and sockets operate using three prongs and plug adapters are widely available.  

Are there gift vouchers available?
Yes, we have an array of gift vouchers including overnight stays, afternoon tea, and monetary vouchers. Our gift vouchers can be purchased here.

Do you have travel adapters in the hotel? 
Yes, we have adapters, please ask at reception on arrival. We charge €8 per adapter. 

 

Location & Parking
 

Where is The Imperial Hotel located?
The Imperial Hotel is located in the heart of Cork City.

Is parking available in the Hotel? 
We have limited spaces available at a preferred price in Union Quay car park, a five-minute walk from the hotel. Please note that these spaces can fill up quite quickly, so we may offer you a preferred rate in another car park if the Union Quay car park is full. 

To avail of this car parking facility, please park outside the main entrance of the hotel, on check-in the receptionist will give you a pass and directions. It would be an idea to bring in your luggage when you check in and our porters will deliver it to your room.

It is a privately owned car park but we have a preferred price for guests, there is a charge of €15.00 per day from 3 pm on the day of arrival to 11am on the day of check out.

How far is the hotel from Dublin Airport? 
We are about 270kms away from Dublin/Dublin Airport. The bus takes about 3.5 hours to get to Cork. For more information please visit www.aircoach.ie/ or www.gobus.ie/. 

How far is the hotel from Cork Airport? 
We are about 7 km away from Cork Airport. There is a Bus service (226) from the bus station to Cork Airport every half an hour from early morning till late evening. However, if you wish to book a taxi, please contact the Concierge desk during your stay and they will be happy to help you. For more details of the bus services please visit buseireann.ie.

How far is the hotel from Shannon Airport?
We are about 125 km away from Shannon Airport, there is a bus service (51) running from Shannon Airport to Cork City, please visit buseireann.ie/ for more information.

Do you have Electric Vehicle Chargers?
We don't have an electric vehicle charger. However, there are many electric vehicle charging stations around Cork. The closest one is the charging point on South Mall (less than a minute walk to the hotel) and Copley Street (approx a 6-minute walk from the hotel).

How do I book?
You can book by clicking here. Afternoon Tea bookings need to be made at least 24 hours in advance. Please note that we operate on a walk in basis only for Lafayettes.

Our menus change seasonaly to ensure the best quality, locally sourced ingredients are used. Please note that the menus on the website are sample menu and are subject to change.

What are the opening hours of Helena's?

Lunch

Monday - Friday:  12-3.30pm
Saturday - Sunday: 12.30-3.30pm

Dinner
Sunday- Thursday: 6pm-9pm
Friday - Saturday: 5.30pm-9.30pm

What are the opening hours of Lafayettes?
Monday to Friday: 8am-4.30pm

What time is breakfast? 
Breakfast is available from Monday to Friday from 7am - 10.30am, and Saturdays and Sundays from 7.30am-11am in Helena's. The breakfast price is €20 for hotel guests when pre-booked but €21.50 for walk-ins.

Is there a bar and restaurant in the hotel? 
Helena's serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Enjoy teas, coffees, scones, and pastries daily created by our talented and passionate pastry team. Served daily in the majestic surroundings of Lafayette's. For bookings and further information please click here.

I have food allergies, do you cater for these?
We offer a breakdown of allergens on our menus.  Any specific requirements should be forwarded to the hotel prior to arrival. Please note that allergens are used in all areas of our kitchen so we can't guarantee that all dishes are 100% allergen free. 

 

Escape Spa 

 

Is there a swimming pool in the hotel? 
We don’t have a swimming pool in the hotel. We have a hydrotherapy pool in Escape Spa where you can find a steam rooms too.

If you would like to book the Vitality Suite, there is a charge of €20 per person for a 1-hour session. The Vitality Suite is complimentary if you book any of the following rooms: Penthouse, Junior Suite or The Michael Collins Suite.  Pre-booking is essential.

What are the opening hours?
Monday - Sunday 9am - 6pm. Please note that Escape Spa is closed on bank holidays.

We offer an array of tranquil treatments and products from our spa brand Elemis.
